Future Health and Activator Methods Announce Software Development Relationship
Future Health to Create Special Activator App for its eConnect Software; Accepting Additional App Ideas
DES MOINES, IA: Future Health, Inc., the nation's leading provider of EHR/practice management software for chiropractors, and Activator Methods International, Ltd., the acknowledged leader in instrument adjusting techniques, today announced a software development partnership to create special software for DCs incorporating analysis of the Activator Method.
The software will come in the form of an App that will integrate seamlessly with Future Health's eConnect EHR/practice management software.
"I first learned about Future Health back in 2006 and its new eConnect product this past year," said Activator Co-founder and CEO Arlan Fuhr, DC. "I believe it is important to make it as easy as possible for Activator doctors who choose Future Health eConnect software to integrate it into their practices."
Fuhr went on to say that the Activator App will help its doctors document Activator adjustments and outcomes in mere seconds in an efficient, consistent manner. That, in turn, will allow doctors to collect more data to further analyze the effectiveness of the Activator technique.
About Future Health eConnect
Future Health eConnect's base software is free and includes all the basics for EHR/practice management, including integrated scheduling, documentation, EHR (electronic health records), billing and patient education.
Doctors of chiropractic can then choose to customize their free Future Health eConnect software by adding affordable eConnect Apps. Future Health will continually develop Apps for efficiency, specialties, techniques and a guaranteed EHR/ARRA Certification App helping DCs qualify for up to $44,000.
Future Health eConnect's base software is designed to be streamlined, intuitive and easy to use. The Apps make it possible for doctors to customize their software to their practice, choosing only the functionality and features they want. Doctors can choose as much or as little functionality as they want, when they want it.
"Future Health is excited about our partnership with Activator," said Future Health President Ken Dickerson.
Dickerson continued, "Dr. Fuhr changed the profession with the Activator technique. And that's exactly what we're looking to do with eConnect - change the way DCs look at EHR and practice management software. Hopefully, eConnect can help and grow the profession just like Dr. Fuhr did with Activator."
Other New Apps Ideas
Dickerson said that the new eConnect software was developed to easily integrate with a wide range of Apps, similar to the concepts found in the consumer electronics market.
"We're constantly seeking new App ideas to integrate into our software, bringing even more functionality and professionalism to the chiropractic market," said Dickerson.
"We've already received several ideas from our users as well as other chiropractic-specific providers," he added. "And the more, the better! We love hearing them. Ideas could range from integration of techniques, processes and specialties, to areas as diverse as inventory and data collection."
The up-to-$44,000 Medicare EHR Incentive
Dickerson went on to add that, for DCs looking to implement EHR, now is the perfect time.
"The government is offering an incentive to DCs of up to $44,000 for implementing a certified EHR and using it in a meaningful way," said Dickerson. "And though I'd never encourage a DC to implement software only for incentive money, if you're already considering an EHR, the time to implement is NOW to benefit from the incentives."
According to Dickerson, government incentives will be available beginning in 2011 for DCs using a certified EHR in a meaningful way. He added that doctors will want to be up and running on their EHR well before that time so they'll be prepared to demonstrate meaningful use.
Future Health is developing a guaranteed EHR/ARRA Certification App to help DCs show meaningful use and qualify for incentive funds.
